Roja Muthiah Research Library A new consciousness evolved in the Tamil society with the emphatic articulations of E.V.Ramasamy fondly called as Periyar. Periyar's impact as an iconoclast not only targeted superstition but also ensured ways and means to bring social justice. He was undoubtedly the champion of social justice. He is remembered as an icon for social reformation through rational thinking and the wellbeing of a society. In the broad collection of Roja Muthiah Research Library, more than 500 contributions of Periyar is being preserved. Original issues of குடி அரசு (1925-1949), பகுத்தறிவு (1935-1938), 287 Books written and edited by Periyar (including the books published after his demise), 220 books written on Periyar by other authors are in the library's collection.
